The nature reserve was delighted to have been asked to take part in Chris Packham’s 24hr BioBlitz, from the 21st to 22nd July. This was an intense period of ecological surveying to record all of the living species on the reserve! We were incredibly lucky to have a visit from Chris Packham himself, who spent time engaging with members as he was shown around the reserve by Head Warden Phil Parker.
In total, we identified 1,180 different species! A massive thank you to all of our volunteers and helpers for their fantastic efforts and enthusiasm.
