A new year at King’s Dyke Nature Reserve!

This is the time of year where we undertake a lot of management work before the breeding season begins in the spring. Typical work includes clearing overgrown ponds and trimming back vegetation to encourage growth.

Winter days also often provide a fantastic insight into the challenges wildlife faces. Be it searching for food or a dealing with a more exposed habitat. Even trying to get a drink from the lake can be difficult as some brilliant captures in the latest gallery show!
