As we see in a new year, we are starting to make plans for events at the reserve!
Each year, we hold volunteer work party day’s. These are spaced throughout the year and allow members to come along and get involved in annual management works, helping the team with different tasks. We meet down by the bird hide at 10am and enjoy a day, getting stuck into various jobs which are high on the management priority list.
Some examples of the tasks for the 30th January (in order of priority) are as follows:
Create habitat piles from cut wood
Clear weeds around pond dipping area
Extension hide maintenance
There is definitely more where these came from! Any help from our valued members would be hugely appreciated! We work together to ensure everyone has a task that meets their capabilities. So no pressure, just a fun, social day and a nice way to get together and get some jobs done.
Please let us know via telephone or email (01553 630842 / firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to attend. This will allow us to plan the day and ensure we have sufficient equipment available.
